More illegal immigrants
Some 200 people have tried to enter Finland illegally from Russia this year, according to the Finnish Border Guard.
YLE News reports that the number of Afghans attempting to enter Finland has especially grown. Last Sunday, four Afghans tried to enter through the border at Vaalimaa in southern Finland.
Most of the attempts are stopped by Finnish border guards, but so far this year 24 people have managed to illegally entered Finland from Russia.
