More money to Teriberka
Regional allocations to the village of Teriberka, future location of the Shtokman LNG plant, will increase by 50 percent in 2010, Murmansk Oblast Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko says.
Allocations from the regional budget to Teriberka will increase from 10.6 million RUB in 2009 to 15.5 million RUB in 2010. This is the highest rise any municipality in Murmansk Oblast, B-port.com reports.
Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko informed about the increase in a meeting with leaders of all party fractions in the regional parliament and called it an example on how the regional government cooperates with all parties, also the opposition. The Mayor of Teriberka is a member of the Communist Party.
The village of Teriberka is the site chosen for the Shtokman gas processing facilities. It has about 1400 inhabitants and is located on the coast of the Barents Sea about 100 km north-east of the city of Murmansk.
