More openings than closings
The number of new firms and businesses being opened in Murmansk Oblast is higher than the number of those being closed.
I course of the first six months of 2009 nearly 28.000 new firms were registered in Northwest Russia. 1090 of these are located in Murmansk Oblast, web site B-port.com reports.
In the same period 15.500 firms closed down business. 393 of these were registered in Murmansk Oblast.
