Moscow to build apartment blocks for Severodvinsk

City authorities in Moscow have agreed to build two 17-floor apartment blocks in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast. The new housing will be built for workers at the local Sevmash yard and Navy employees.

The two buildings have been included in the 2008 Moscow city budget, Bclass.ru reports with reference to Regnum. The estimated construction period will be 18 months. Severodvinsk is the hi-tech capital of the Russian north. The city has the two powerful shipyards Sevmash and Zvezdochka, both of them world known for their construction of nuclear-powered submarines.
