Murmansk Oblast to boost cooperation with Norway’s oil capital
Today Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko started a three days long visit to Norway. He will visit the border town Kirkenes, the capital Oslo and the Norwegian oil capital Stavanger, where he will take part in a seminar on the Shtokman gas field development project.
The main purpose of the visit is to learn more about the successful oil cluster in Stavanger and Rogaland County, in order to establish a similar cluster in Murmansk, Television channel GTRK Murman reports.
The progress on the Shtokman gas field development project is one of the topics that will be discussed. Supply of equipment to Shtokman will be discussed in detail at the seminar in Stavanger.
- It is important for Murmansk Oblast to study the market, make contacts and meet potential investors, says Pavel Lysenko, spokesperson in the Murmansk Oblast Government to RIA Novosti.
According to Lysenko, Dmitriyenko plans to sign a declaration on cooperation with Rogaland County.
