Murmansk population dropped below 850,000
The population of Murmansk Oblast has dropped below 850,000, figures from regional statistics services show.
Birth rates have decreased and out-migration is gradually dropping. Despite that, the population in Murmansk Oblast continues to shrink. In the course of the first four months of the year, the population dropped with about 2300 individuals to 848,700.
