Murmansk takes on joint projects with Finland
Regional authorities in Murmansk Oblast will in the course of 2008 take part in joint projects with Finland worth about one million EUR.
The bulk of the projects will be within energy, shipping, aviation, mining, shipbuilding and tourism, B-port.com reports. A total of 38 projects are planned be implemented. Among the priority projects is the establishment of a technology part in the town of Alakurtti, as well as the upgrade of the Kandalaksha-Salla road. In 2007, Murmansk and Finland jointly engaged in 43 social and economic projects with a total cost frame of 900,000 EUR
