New Head of Murmansk regional Duma
In the first meeting of the Murmansk regional Duma after the election the representatives chose Vasily Shambir as new speaker.
The previous speaker in the regional Duma, Yevgeny Nikora, was fronted as United Russia’s candidate. Shambir is also from the majority party United Russia, but his candidacy was fronted by the Liberal Democratic fraction in the Duma.
The election was done through secret voting. Nikora got 15 votes, Shambir 20, GTRK Murman reports.
