New ice-class bulk carrier for Murmansk Shipping Company

Murmansk Shipping Company has received the ice-class bulk carrier “Novaya Zemlya” from the Chinese shipyard Chengxi.

Murmansk Shipping Company (MSCo) continues to renew its fleet. “Novaya Zemlya” is the fourth bulk carrier the company buys from China. The vessels will transport bulk cargo from the ports in the Baltic, Barents and White Sea to British and European ports, a press release from the company reads.

The other ice-class bulk carriers MSCo has bought are “Grumant”, “Pomorye” and “Zapolyarye”. Each vessel has a dead weight capacity of 23.700 tons.
