New partner for Severodvinsk rig project
The Zvezdochka company in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, has attracted the LTECH company as new partner in the construction of the Arkticheskaya jack-up rig.
The Severodvinsk yard now hopes to speed up the construction of the rig with assistance from new partners. The Arkticheskaya rig has been under construction for more than 10 years, and it remains not clear when construction will be completed. The 88 meter long and 66 meter wide platform will be used primarily in the Pechora Sea. The rig can house 90 workers. Maximum drilling depths are 6500 meters. The LTECH is specializing on lifting technology.
