New Russian ambassador to Norway

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has appointed Vyacheslav Pavlovsky as new ambassador to Norway .

The current ambassador, Sergey Andreyev, has held the post since 2006, but has been transferred to another job, web site B-port.com reports.

Vyacheslav Pavlovsky is born in 1956. He is educated at the Moscow Institute of International Relations and has worked in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the diplomatic service since 1978. He has held post as General Consul in New York.

Pavlovsky speaks English, Indonesian and Spanish.
