Norway makes good money on cold Europe

The cold temperatures in Europe have led to a rise in the price of oil bringing Norway an extra 80 million NOK per day.

The cold weather combined with a weak dollar exchange rate and a price dispute between Russia and Belarus led the price of a barrel of oil up to 81.36 USD on Wednesday, web site Na24.no reports. This is the highest price recorded since October 2008.

Since the beginning of the year oil prices have grown 4.3 percent. Experts believe the price could rise to 90-100 USD per barrel.
