Norway takes on logistics in Murmansk Oblast

The two Norwegian state-owned enterprises Innovation Norway and SIVA have jointly bought a strategic logistics centre near the Murmashi airport of Murmansk. The new centre will help facilitate Norwegian business in Northwest Russia, the two companies say.

The investment has been made through the company Technopark Nor AS, a joint enterprise of Innovation Norway and SIVA, a press release from Innovation Norway reads. “A developed logistics and business centre could give Norwegian supply companies competition advantages with regard to sales of high-tech products to for example the oil and gas industry in Northwest Russia”, the press release adds. The 50,000 square meter centre has a terminal for road, railway and air cargo transport. The centre will be run in close cooperation with local authorities, as well as with the Murmansk regional administration.
