Norway’s new Government presented

The ministers in Norway’s re-elected three parties government were presented in Oslo on Tuesday.

19 ministers in addition to the Prime Minister himself come out of the King’s castle in Oslo this morning. Most interesting for the Barents Region is that Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre continues in his post.

Another Minister of interest for the north is Lisbeth Berg-Hansen. She takes over as minister of Fisheries and coastal affairs. New Trade and Industry minister is Trond Giske. He was the former government’s minister on culture and Norway’s first Norwegian minister of culture to visit Arkhangelsk.

New minister of defense is Grete Faremo. In the 90ties, Faremo was both minister of justice and later minister of oil- and energy.

The list of all ministers is presented at the government’s website.
