Opened at the Kola nuclear power plant for media and the public.
The information centre will serve as a press-service for radio, TV and newspapers as well as organizing excursions for the local residents living near the nuclear power plant outside the city of Polyarny Zori on the Kola Peninsula.
The centre will also be in charge of receiving delegations visiting the plant.
Kola nuclear power plant operates four press-water reactors of the VVER-440 type. The first two reactors were started in 1973 and 1975, while the two newest started in the mid-80ties.
Kola nuclear power plant is the only civilian nuclear power plant operating in the Barents Region.
