Oil production in Nenets AO might triple
An economic forecast for the Nenets Autonomous Okrug indicate that oil production in the resource-rich region might triple by year 2020.
According to the Nenets AO regional administration, annual oil production in the region might in the period increase to 35 million tons, an increase of about 260 percent from today’s figures.
Today, about 13,4 million tons of oil is extracted in the region, most of it by subsidiaries of Rosneft and Lukoil
