Port and railway high on Arkhangelsk agenda
In its new general plan, the city of Arkhangelsk positions itself as a key spot in the development of the Arctic. The local city port and the Belkomur railway project are both highlighted in the plan.
According to Regnum, the Nizhegorodgrazhdanproekt institute has been commissioned with the elaboration of the plan. -Arkhangelsk has a strategic position in the Russian, and the new perspectives for the countries are linked with the development of the Arctic shelf, acting city mayor Viktor Pavlenko says to the city website. The Arkhangelsk general plan is elaborate in line with the citys social-economic strategy plan.
