“Prirazlomnaya” platform priority for Gazprom
The General Director of Sevmorneftegaz requests Sevmash to keep up tempo in the building of the “Prirazlomnaya” platform, a priority for Gazprom.
General Director of Sevmorneftegaz Aleksandr Mandel has visited the Sevmash plant in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, to inspect the progress on the building of the Prirazlomnaya platform.
More than 1500 people are involved in building of the ice-strengthened platform. This summer large-dimensioned installations will be installed on the main deck of the superstructure, like accommodation block and drill tower, Sevmash writes on the company’s web site.
Mr. Mandel requested not to slow down the tempo. This is a prioritized project for the main investor Gazprom, and financing is steady in spite of the crisis. The only weak spot is still lack of a projecting bureau in Russia specializing in projecting of offshore drilling platforms. The project plans for the “Prirazlomnaya” have been altered five times, leading to considerable delays in the completion.
