Putin drops Murmansk
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will not be coming to Murmansk for the International Economic Forum.
Prime Minister Putin will instead be going to China for negotiations, Murmansk Oblast Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko says to Murmansk TV.
The highest ranking officials in Murmansk during the Murmansk Economic forum will be the foreign ministers of Russia, Norway, Finland and Sweden, as BarentsObserver reported.
In China Vladimir Putin is expected to sign a number of agreements with his Chinese counterparts. The visit is expected to produce some three dozen deals valued at more than 5.5 billion USD and could include a major refinery in the northern city of Tianjin, China Daily reports.
