Russia to issue passports with ten years validity
From March 2010, Russian citizens can get an international passport with ten years validity.
A law on this issue was signed by Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev today, Interfax reports.
The current validity is five years. The new passports will have biometric data and ten more pages for visas and stamps.
