Russia wants visa-free travel with EU
One of the objectives in the strategic agreement between Russia and the European Union must be the introduction of visa-free travel, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko said at a conference this week.
The high-ranking official spoke at the conference “Border Cooperation between the Russian Federation, the EU and Norway” taking place in Pskov, Russia, this week. In his presentation, Mr. Grushko underlined that the introduction of visa-free travel must be included in the new strategic cooperation agreement between Russia and the EU. The agreement is currently under negotiation by the parts. He also underlined that the introduction of the visa-free travel must not be postponed unlimited and that concrete measures must be taken already now to follow up the issue. -The visa-free travel will demonstrate the unity of the European space, the deputy minister said.
