Russian dom (house)

“Russian dom” was a restyled wooden building, former dacha, exhibited interior of old Russian dwelling: with a Russian oven and also souvenirs for sale, like matreshkas, dymkovskie toys, wooden plates and eggs paintings together with other Russian souvenir stuff. It was extremely popular among tourists that made one-day trip to Russia from Kirkenes (often travellers from Hurtigruten). Some other opportunities, except visiting this house were suggested to tourists as a part of the tour. An example is driving to town’s post office to send exotic Russian postcards with not less exotic Russian postage stamps sticked on it - back to home.
