Russian foreign trade turnover up 23 percent

The Russian foreign trade turnover in 2007 increased 23,4 percent, figures from the Russian Statistics Service, Rosstat, show. The country had a 132,1 billion USD surplus from the trade.

According to the figures, presented by Prime-Tass today, the total trade turnover with the abroad amounted to 578.2 billion USD. Exports were up 16,9 percent and reached 355.2 billion USD, while imports increased 35,4 percent to 223.1 billionUSD.
