Russian gas export revenues down 50 percent
Half-year figures from the Russian Customs Service show that Russia has got gas exports revenues cut by 50 percent.
In the period January-July, the country had a total of 19.396 billion USD of revenues from the gas sales. That is about 50 percent less than in the same period last year, new foreign trade statistics from the Customs Service (FTS) informs.
The volumes of gas exported to the “far abroad”, first of all the EU, in the period dropped 40,4 percent.
In 2008, Russia exported a total of 174,3 billion cubic meters of gas worth a total of 66.399 billion USD, Oilru.com informs with reference to RBK.ru
