Russian-Norwegian visa agreement ratified
The Russian State Duma has ratified the new visa agreement with Norway. The agreement, a blue copy of the Russian-EU agreement ratified last year, opens up for significant improvements in cross-border travel between the countries.
The agreement was ratified on Friday 23 May, the State Duma press service reports.
The agreement, which was signed on 8 June last year facilitates travelling for a number of groups, among them students, teachers, business people, state officials, journalists, drivers and more.
From now on it will also be possible for people in both countries to obtain 5-year multivisas. Waiting for the Russian ratification of the agreement, Norway earlier this year unilaterally opened up for several-year multivisas.
