Russians buy more visas to Finland
For the first time, the number of visas issued by Finnish consular authorities to Russians in one year has exceeded 700,000. About 90 percent of the visas are multi entry visas.
Finland’s consulate in St Petersburg has been the busiest with 540,000 visas being granted this year, an increase of 100,000 over last year, Newsroom Finland reports. Never before has 700,000 visas been issued in one year. The record comes several weeks before the Finnish tourist industry starts its winter season and thousands of Russians go to the popular Finnish resorts.
