Russia’s new project funding

Russian authorities have allocated 123 million EUR for cross-border projects with the European Union, Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Glushko confirms.

Mr. Glusho, who spoke at last week’s border cooperation conference in Pskov, Russia, said the Russian funding will be allocated over four years and in line with the priorities of seven programmes agreed upon by Russian and EU authorities. The Russia-EU programmes, which are still be under elaboration, will focus on social-economic development, logistics and transport, environment, education, culture and life quality, as well as infectious diseases, Rosbaltnord.ru reports The EU will allocate 307 million EU to the programmes, the deputy minister said.
