Salmon farm in trouble
The joint Russian-Norwegian salmon farm Gigante Pechenga is violating several requirements set by Russian veterinary rules.
Fishnews.ru reports that the office of the Public Prosecutor has looked into the activity of Gigante Pechenga and its use of the site where the salmon farm is located.
The Prosecutor found violations regarding the waste handling, fishery and the norm on the legislation for the use of the site.
The fish farm is located in the Pechenga bay, near the border to Norway on the Kola Peninsula.
