Secretary General Jagland visits Moscow
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland will visit Moscow from December 21 to 23.
On his first official visit to a member State of the Organisation, Mr. Jagland will meet the highest Russian authorities, including President Dmitry Medvedev, the Presidents of both parliamentary chambers, Boris Gryzlov and Sergei Mironov and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, the Council of Europe’s web site reads. The visit will also include discussions with other members of the Federal Government, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill as well as members of civil society and human rights defenders.
