Shtokman budget too low
Gazprom and its partners Total and StatoilHydro by 2020 plan to invest about 40 billion USD in the development of the Shtokman field in the Barents Sea. Russian analysts believe the actual price for the project will be more than 50 percent higher.
According to experts from the Finam Investment Bank, the price for the project might reach 60-70 billion USD, Rosbaltnord.ru reports. The bank analysts argue that the costs on services and hardware, as well as inflationary pressure, will inevitably raise the price.
