Sister ties growing strong between Murmansk and Vadsø
Representatives of the Murmansk city administration last week made an official visit to northern Norweigan town of Vadsø. The visit was another step in the strengthening of cooperation between the two sister-cities.
-We consider the sister ties very important and are ready to cooperate, that is why such a big delegation came here from our part, Liudmila Mikhailovna Levchenko from the Murmansk administration said. The culture and education sectors remains the most important fields of cooperation between the two towns. During their visit, the Russian delegation participants were also acquainted with the political order and structural division of the whole Finnmark region. The principles of city administration in Russia and Norway have much in common, was the conclusion of the participants. Vadsø is the administrative centre in the Norwegian northernmost Finnmark county.
