Subsea UK eyes Russian market
The British industry body Subsea UK has signed a memorandum of understanding with Murmanshelf in a bid to push UK companies into the Russian market.
The memorandum of understanding will help develop relationships for UK participation in the region and ensure that companies are on contractors’ sub-vendor lists, Upstreamonline.com reports.
- Scandinavian companies and Norway in particular have already established relationships at the “highest level” and that while some Scottish and UK subsea companies are starting to do the same, they could not leave it too late and lose out to competitors, Subsea UK said in a statement.
Subsea UK is an industry body for the entire British subsea industry and aims to increase business opportunities at home and abroad for the sector, the body’s web page reads.
