Sweden boycots Nord Stream meeting
Politicians from the Swedish Parliament have turned down an invitation to a meeting about the Nord Stream pipeline project. –We do not believe it is in Swedish interests to build a Russian pipeline in the Swedish economic zone, parliament committee leader Anders Ygeman says.
The meeting next week is organized by the Russian State Duma and will discuss issues related to the 1220 km long Nord Stream underwater gas pipeline project in the Baltic Sea. -We do not believe that it is in Swedish interests to build a Russian gas pipeline in the Swedish Economic Zone […] We do not want to commit ourselves in a new big fossile fuel project. We consider it not in Sweden’s interest to get this project up standing, Mr. Ygeman says to Sveriges Radio.
