Swedish investors buy more stocks in Russia
In 2007, Swedish investors almost doubled their stock acquisitions in Russia. Sweden is today the 13th biggest foreign investor in the country.
According to newspaper Sveriges Industri, Swedish investors in 2007 bought Russian stocks worth 2,2 billion SEK (230 million EUR), up from 1,3 billion SEK in 2006. Meanwhile the index of the Russian Stock Exchange RTS last year grew with 12 percent. The total amount of foreign investments in Russia last year amounted to 300 billion SEK (32 billion EUR), a 21 percent increase from 2006
