The biggest salaries in Murmansk
The average salary in Murmansk Oblast in 2007 totalled 15105 RUB (418 EUR) , which is up 20,1 percent from 2006. Employees within the electricity sector were the ones with the biggest salaries in the region.
According to the Murmansk regional social-economic report for 2007, people within the electricity generation, transmission and sales sector had the biggest salaries with an average of 37607 RUB. Employees within banking and the financial sector made 35149 RUB, followed by the shipping sector (32013 RUB).
Salaries within the healthcare sector were an average of 13851 RUB (up 23,2% from 2006) and within education – 12019 RUB (up 21,2%).
