The new road to Arkhangelsk
More than 1,1 billion RUB has been spent on the construction of the Mezen-Arkhangelsk highway. This weekend, the road was officially opened by representatives of regional authorities.
As much as 1,109 billion RUB has been spent on the construction of the 38 km long road, which is part of the transport route between the town of Mezen and the regional capital of Arkhangelsk. Hopes are now high for cuts in transport expenses and improved public transport on the route, newspaper Pravda Severa reports.
