Unemployment

Up in Finland and Sweden – Stable in Norway.

According to Statistics Finland, the unemployment in Finland continues to grow, YLE reports. The jobless rate grew 2,5 percent in July compared to July last year, The unemployment in Finland is now 7,7 percent.

In Sweden the unemployment figure is 9.1 percent, which is an increase of 2,3 percent compared with the same period last year, according to Statistics Sweden.

In Norway the level of unemployment kept stable the first half year of 2009. The unemployment rate was by the end of May 3,1 percent, the same as in February, reports Statistics Norway.
