Wind farm in Lapland
Finnish energy producer Fortum will together with the forest enterprise Metsällitus build a wind farm consisting of 18 huge windmills.
Each of the windmills will be 2 to 3 MW making the total annual production between 100 and 120 GWh of electricity, Fortum writes in a press-release.
The windpark will be located in the Kittilä – Sodankylä municipalities in Lapland. If all environmental- and economical assessment studies favour the plans, the windpark can be operational from 2013.
