Women beat men on payscale

In the Norwegian municipality Sør-Varanger women in average have higher income than men.

In Sør-Varanger women in average have 1,4 percent higher salaries than men. In the rest of Norway, men are still earning in average 8,6 percent more than women. -One of the reasons might be that we have many female leaders in Sør-Varanger. But we also are very conscious about the subject of gender equality, chief administrative officer Bente Larsen says. Mayor, chief administrative officer and chief municipal councilor in Sør-Varanger are all women.
