Comfortable election victory in Arkhangelsk

The United Russia party won 55,9 percent of votes in Sunday’s elections in Arkhangelsk Oblast and secured its continued political control in the region.

Several town mayors posts and the seats in several town assemblies were up for a vote in yesterday’s elections. The United Russia party comfortably won in the region with its overall 55,9 percent of the votes, Regnum reports. The Communist Party won 11,8 percent, the A Just Russia party won 8,8 percent while independent candidates got 23,5 percent of the votes.
