Murmansk governor attended prime minister meeting
Governor of Murmansk Dmitry Dmitriyenko participated in yesterday’s meeting between Prime Vladimir Putin and his Norwegian counterpart Jens Stoltenberg.
The invitation of Mr. Dmitriyenko to the prime ministers meeting is a major sign approval for the newly appointed governor. It also illustrates the importance of Murmansk in Russian-Norwegian relations.
After the meeting with Putin and Stoltenberg, Governor Dmitriyenko proceeded to a meeting with the United Russia party, a press release from the Murmansk regional administration reads. In that meeting, he got the powerful party’s support for grand development of the Murmansk Transport Hub, a port and infrastructure project in and around the Kola Bay
