Putin arrived in Finland
Vladimir Putin today arrives in Helsinki in his first visit as Russian Prime Minister. Energy, transportation and economic cooperation, will be on the agenda in meetings with Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen and President Tarja Halonen.
High on the agenda for Prime Minister Vanhanen will be proposed increases in Russian export tariffs on raw timber and new plans to transfer container traffic from road to rail, Yle News reports.
Also the Nord Stream pipeline is likely to be discussed in the meetings.
Putin will also meet with Finnish business leaders, a government press release reads.
