13 kilos of explosives found near Severomorsk
A total of 13 kilos of explosives were last week found hidden in a forest near the Northern Fleet headquarters of Severomorsk, Murmansk Oblast.
Local police has now initiated a criminal investigation of the finding, which contained 23 TNT draughts of 400 gr. and 35 –of 200 gr. It remains unclear who placed the explosives along a forest road in the Mokhnatkina Pakhta area. The material was found dug down on one meter depths, Murman.ru reports. Police hopes the criminal investigation will reveal the named of the persons behind the explosives storage. Severomorsk is the headquarters of the powerful Russian Northern Fleet. The closed military city is located just kilometers north of Murmansk.
