Extra support for Murmansk naval yards
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in a government meeting this week confirmed that additional support will be granted two crisis-ridden shipyards in Murmansk Oblast.
The extra money will be allocated the Safonovo yard near Severomorsk (shipyard 82) and the Shkval yard near Polyarny on the western shore of the Kola Peninsula. Both the yards are planned parts of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, a major federal enterprise on civil and military ship construction.
