Lavrov hopes OSCE can assist scraping visa regime

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov calls on the OSCE members not to hinder the process of visa regime liberalization.

Lavrov met with participants of an informal meeting of the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kazakhstan this weekend.

-Among the commitments that have long been approved by all states of the OSCE and undeservedly forgotten, there are obligations on freedom of movement, there are commitments on the liberalization of visa regimes and the expansion in contacts between people, Lavrov said according to RIA Novosti.

Russia has several times over the last years said they are ready to scrap the visa regime with the European Union.
