Missile launch from Barents Sea

The Russian Northern Fleet submarine ”Yekaterinburg” yesterday lauched a Sineva missile from the Barents Sea.

–The target was hit and all parts of the missile dropped to the ground in the scheduled places, President Dmitry Medvedev said about the launch, Interfax reports. The launch was conducted just few days before a planned launch of the more advanced Bulava missile, due to take place in the last part of July. The R-29RMU Sineva is a submarine-launched ballistic missile. It is identified by NATO as the SS-N-23 Skiff and designed to be launched from Delta IV class submarines, Wikipedia informs.
