NATO helicopter crashed during exercise
A German helicopter participating in the NATO exercise “Cold Response 09” crashed on Saturday near Bjerkvik in Northern Norway.
None of the four onboard was injured when the helicopter went down, reportedly in heavy snow-drift.
The Norwegian military writes at their web-site that an investigation team from General Flugischherheit der Bundeswehr in Germany will come to the crash-site trying to find the reason for the accident.
Cold Response 09 ends on Wednesday this week. More than 7000 soldiers from 13 countries participate in the exercise.
