Illegal entry to Finland
A person was last week caught by Finnish border guards when illegally crossing the southeast Finnish border to Russia. So far this year, a total of 25 people have been caught by the Southeast Finnish Border Guard when attempting to enter the country illegally.
The detention was made by the border guards after electronic surveillance equipment warned about the violation, STT informs. The infiltrator was detained peacefully. The person has applied for asylum. The majority of the 25 intruders this year have come from Afghanistan.
