MSTU Institute celebrates anniversary
15th year anniversary of the Institute of Further Professional Education took place in Murmansk State Technical University on Friday.
The history of the Institute began from the opening of 2-years program of further education. Special fields were “Jurisprudence” and “Management of the enterprise”.
During the last 15 years, more than 2000 citizens had been educated at the Insitute. In addition, more than 2.500 militaries of Northern fleet and temporarily unemployed citizens were retrained at the MSTU Institute of Further Professional Education. Today 40 militaries are studying in the Institute.
In 2000 - 2008 due to Bodø University College and Norwegian Defense Minister 1200 militaries of Northern Navy received professional education in different fields of knowledge.
A priority today is training of specialists in the sphere of energy efficiency. The educational program on energy savings in industry and in the housing sector are very popular among students. Citizens of Murmansk region also study energy audit and energy management.
- Today, the Institute of Further Professional Education is playing the leading role in the university. Taking into consideration that Russian Federation signed in 2003 the Bologna declaration, new program of further education have been developed by the university all that time, says MSTU vice-rector on education Sergei Dubrovin at the celebration ceremony on Friday.
