Northern Sweden want Russian workers
A delegation from the north Swedish municipality of Sorsele travels to the Kola Peninsula to recruit labor.
Like many other small municipalities in northern Sweden, Sorsele has a lack of skilled workers. The local population is getting older, while few new young people go to live there.
The Swedish delegation will be in Apatity in Murmansk Oblast on Wednesday, reports the Swedish newspaper Västerbottens-Kuriren.
- The aim of our tour to Russia is to recruit Russians to move to Sorsele says Roland Wermelin, chief officer in municipal secretariat in Sorsele.
